| The only requirements to play Exceed Haven are Quake and a QuakeWorld client. It shouldn't matter what the platform is, so long as they've been ported to it. | Additional maps(27MB) - Exceed Haven uses alot of maps. Unless you feel like spending an eternity downloading them one at a time, get this package. Unzip them to {QUAKEDIR}\ID1\maps. |
| Extension Module skins(93KB) - Player skins depicting the six Extension Modules. Included with the latest game files, but offered seperately in a zip archive for anyone that installed an older version of the client package so they aren't forced to redownload the whole thing. Extract these to your {QUAKEDIR}\qw\skins folder. |
| Custom gfx.wad(110KB) - The classic Quake status bar, tweaked specially for Exceed Haven. This converts the rocket ammo graphic to display Revival Beads, changes armour to scrap, and adds a much improved SBAR head. It globally effects QuakeWorld, which is why I didn't include this in the zip package/installer. Too small to bother compressing. Purely optional, but recommended. Download this to your {QUAKEDIR}\qw folder. |
QWPROGS.DAT QEXPO Edition - Now you can run your own copy of Exceed Haven, online or offline, through Internet or LAN. Extract this file to {QUAKEDIR}\exceedhaven. Includes basic setup tutorial. An online version of the change-log can be viewed here. An online copy of the tutorial is availabe here. Please note that the USERPACKS now include the qwprogs.dat file as well. |
